Attic Insulation

Attic insulation is important for maintaining a comfortable and energy-efficient home. It helps regulate temperature by keeping the heat in during winter and blocking excessive heat in the summer, reducing the need for constant heating and cooling. Proper insulation also prevents moisture buildup, which can lead to mold and structural damage. By improving energy efficiency, attic insulation can lower utility bills, reduce your carbon footprint, and extend the lifespan of your HVAC system. In short, insulating your attic is a smart investment in both comfort and cost savings.

How To Check Attic Insulation:

Tip #1: Desired Height

The height of the insulation should generally be in the 12-16 inch range.

Tip #2: Cross Beam Coverage

Make sure all your cross beams are covered.

Tip #3: Check for Discoloration

Check to make sure there isn't significant discoloration in the insulation. This could be a sign of moisture damage, dust or airborne contaminants.
