Cleaning Your Shower Heads

Is your shower head caked with mineral deposits or even lost water pressure? Cleaning your shower head is important for both hygiene and functionality. Over time, mineral deposits, mold, and bacteria can accumulate, clogging the nozzles, reducing water pressure and just look nasty! 😷

See how to do clean it in 6 easy steps (including a video tutorial), below!

6 Steps to Clean Your Shower Head

Step 1: Pour distilled white vinegar into a bag

The acidity in the vinegar helps dissolve mineral deposits, grease and grime

Step 2: Tie the plastic bag of vinegar around the shower head

Thick rubber bands should do the trick!

Step 3: Let it soak for 30 minutes to 1 hour

For rustier shower heads, let it soak for up to 1 hour.

Step 4: Remove the plastic bag after 30 minutes to 1 hour

Be careful to avoid spilling vinegar on your clothes!

Step 5: Grab that toothbrush for extra cleaning

Use an old toothbrush to scrub the shower head and remove any lingering sediment.

Step 6: Turn on the shower & let run for a few minutes

This will ensure all vinegar is flushed out.
